A surprising overview of Dr. Disrespect’s problems, finally revealing why he was hated by Twitch

Dr. Disrespect—aka Man Beahm—is in the news again, nearly four years after he was banned from Twitch in 2020, the web streaming platform where he earned fame and notoriety. Now it seems like even the common streamer is calling it quits indefinitely.

The reason for the ban was never understood by Twitch or Dr. Disrespect, although the former took the streaming platform to court over the ban after the former paid off Beahm’s guarantee. Years passed. The historical past became legend. Legend became fiction.

Around June 22, 2024, Cody Connors, former Account Director of Strategic Partnerships at Twitch, tweeted, “(Dr. Disrespect) was banned because (he) got caught having sex with a minor in the then-current Twitch Whispers product I went. Beahm responded to the allegation on Twitter:
