Alec Stanley Baldwin is back in court Friday for his involuntary manslaughter trial as testimony comes to a head.

The Hollywood actor is on trial in Santa Fe nearly three years after cinematographer Helena Hutchins was murdered in a tragic incident during the shooting of the futuristic Western film Rust.

The film’s armourer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, was expected to testify today, but it is behind schedule. He has already been convicted of culpable homicide and sentenced to 18 months in jail.

During a practice session of a shooting scene in 2021, a prop gun held by Stanley Baldwin went off, hitting and killing Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza. Stanley Baldwin has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and faces 18 months in prison.

On Wednesday, jurors heard opening statements with prosecutors saying the Hollywood megastar skipped safety tests and used the revolver carelessly before the horrific incident.

Special prosecutor Erlinda Ocampo Johnson said Stanley Baldwin “played games with a real gun and violated core rules of firearms safety.”

However safety attorney Alex Spiro said, “These major rules, these are not the major rules on a movie set.”

In the supervisor’s testimony, prosecutors demonstrated the frantic efforts of first responders to save Hutchins and the crystal clear bodycam call that followed the shooting, and the terrifying 911 call. In court, as the video played, Stanley Baldwin looked sad at the screen.

Alec Stanley Baldwin will be in court again these days as his preliminary involuntary manslaughter trial begins in a similar fashion.

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the gunman on the set of the movie “Rust,” who was convicted in March, is about to sweep a bet off someone’s feet.

But will she discuss? Her lawyer has said that she will argue on the 5th.

Gutierrez-Reed was reportedly being transported from jail to the Santa Fe Courthouse this morning.

Who is Hannah Gutierrez-Reed?

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, stepdaughter of famed sharpshooter and gun guide Thel Reed, was 24 years old during a botched practice session for the movie “Rust,” set in Santa Fe.

“Rust” was his second project as an armorer in a feature film.

Her lawyers argued that she was being used as a scapegoat, pointing to safety concerns beyond their consumer concerns.

He was sentenced to 18 months in prison for culpable homicide, which is interesting.

At her sentencing, Gutierrez-Reed said that she had attempted to perform her best throughout the set despite not having “proper time, resources and staffing”.

Armourer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed is all set to testify today

Movie gun armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed is expected to be taken from jail to the courthouse this morning, but her attorney has said she will be arraigned on the 5th.

In March, Gutierrez-Reed received a maximum sentence of 18 months in prison for involuntary manslaughter in the horrific shooting.

The Fresh Mexico Pass decision showed that Gutierrez-Reed’s recklessness was a significant violent crime, with little indication of authentic remorse on the defendant’s part since his future sentence.

Prosecutors blamed Gutierrez-Reed for unknowingly bringing live ammunition onto the entire set of “Rust” where it was clearly prohibited, and for failing to practice minor gun-safety protocols.
