All the Easter eggs together, including one for ‘Elio’

Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” is delighting audiences around the world and dominating the box office worldwide. Riley, in the 2015 sequel series “Inside Out”, is now a young man about to take a trip to hockey camp when he hits puberty. Enter a realm of emotions that comes with jealousy, embarrassment, and anxiety.

talking with selection, production fashion designer Jason Deamer revealed that there are no shortage of Easter eggs in the sequel. Eagle-eyed viewers should look for characters from that time period comparable to Bing Bong, and a rough teaser of the later “Elio” may have been planted in the film.

The long-standing tradition of hiding Easter eggs began years ago. “When we work we have to entertain ourselves. We wanted a digital backlot of all the movies ever made, just like you would have on a live-action set or backlot. And that’s where it came from. “It just snowballed into what it is today,” Deemer continued, “We find anywhere to hide stuff because it’s a really fun thing to do.”

Below are all the unknown signs you may have overlooked.

Ilio

Pixar’s “Elio,” about a boy who is chosen to replace Earth’s ambassador to an alternate galaxy, is set to premiere in 2025. Like previous films, the company likes to take a look at its then-current film and “Inside Out 2.” Doesn’t disappoint anymore.

It’s hard to spot, however Deemer recognizes that there is a cleverly unknown Easter egg there. Take a careful look at the memory areas through the satire sequence. “There’s one from ‘Elio,’” Deemer says.

Deemer recognizes the yellow Luxo ball, which does not appear in many Pixar films, as appearing in the background. When emotions cross Riley’s thoughts, she is transported to a parade of careers – all the possible jobs she could pursue, and of course, she flirts with the theory of being a brilliant court judge.

4*city

Riley loves his boy bands, and one of his favorites is 4*The Town, who were once the most important boy band on the planet. She first performed in 2022’s “Turning Red”.

There is a poster above Riley’s mattress. “It’s actually a 4*Town Reunion Tour poster,” says Deemer. “It’s the return of the old boy band. I was the character director of that film. But someone made fun of her and said she was very good in the band, so we left her there.”

Bing Bong’s return gave the impression that Riley’s imaginary friend would disappear the next day through “Inside Out”.

The last generation of viewers saw the elephant faint when he asks Pledger to “take him to the moon”. However, Riley wasn’t the only one who had feelings for a favorite personality – so did all the animators. “Everyone wanted to bring Bing Bong back,” says Deemer. So he found a way.

Bing Bong’s return occurs at the beginning of the film. Then Riley wins an ice hockey game, she falls asleep. There is a set of bing bongs on the shelf of Pleasure’s bed. “Joey hasn’t forgotten Bing Bong, so Bing Bong is in Joey’s cube, made in origami,” says Deemer.

“Inside Out 2” adopts mixed animation types.

Within Riley’s thoughts, the caricature characters of Bluefie and Pouchy from Riley’s early years appear to be deep in Riley’s storehouse of secrets and techniques.

For this the team adopted various styles including 2D. Director Kelsey Mann said at the film’s premiere, “We love animation, all the genres, and we’re so excited that we’re able to do so many things in this movie.”

Nielsen explained that Lance Slashblade, a game that Riley remembers from old games like “Final Fantasy”, is featured in the tastes of online games of the early 2000s, “Lance Slashblade, I think it’s the most popular game for all gamers. A standout for and for those who know gamers.

The sword of the lance also hides another gesture, this is the hockey gesture. “At the center of it, there’s the sharp blade edge of the sword and then in the deeper part of the sword, there’s a hockey stick,” he explores.

Animating Lance, Dimmer says, “We were asked to do a simple thing digitally. We had more meetings about that character and how much pixelation was too much.” He explains, ”There were about 14 people in the room for about 12 weeks thinking, ‘What do we mean by good looking quality?’ And where will we land?

Ralph Eggleston

Pixar animator Ralph Eggleston, who worked on “Toy Story,” “Monsters Inc.” and the earlier “Inside Out,” died in 2022. This Easter egg is probably Dahmer’s most personal tribute and favorite. “He was a friend and a mentor to me,” says Deemer, who says viewers will see “he’s a guy with great brains in the launch area.” He is the first person to accompany Joey’s character.

Eggleston and Dahmer are old-timers at painting in pastel colors and have colors everywhere in their hands at all times. “He had his art all around him, and he collected DVDs and laserdiscs, so that detail was there. You will see his art at that moment.”

A113 And Terry Gilliam’s ‘Brazil’

There are light mysteries in the thoughts of teenager Riley. What they are is not yet discoverable.

There’s an old Pixar Easter egg in the warehouse. Above the appropriate doors, the numbers are engraved in Roman numerals. This is in connection with the Nature Animation study room at Cal Arts, which many Pixar animators participated in, a group that has influenced various motion pictures.

When the rush of emotions is about to take over the warehouse for primary generation, there is a shot of Riley’s seal on the ground. “It’s a song from the Terry Gilliam movie ‘Brazil,'” says Deemer.

Big Chicken Puppet Carroll Spinney

Nielsen sought the approval of his special someone. “Carroll Spinney is the puppeteer who played Big Bird and Oscar. He sadly passed away, but I still wanted to give a little nod to him in the film.”

Then after Riley and his friends win a hockey game, they hang out and eat pizza. Pizza joints are called Spinney’s Pizza.
