Diplo accused of ‘revenge porn’ in unsealed lawsuit filed by girl he allegedly dated

A lawsuit filed Thursday in California accuses DJ Diplo of distributing revenge porn.

A Jane Doe is suing a Grammy-winning producer, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, for recording and distributing sexual photos and videos of her without her consent, according to information provided by court doctors via Page Six Filed.

Brand, a New York-based woman, claims she had been curious about physically dating Diplo since June 2016, after he first began sending her various sexually-explicit content on Snapchat around the same time in April. He alleged that their dating resulted in 2023.

According to court filings, Doe allowed Diplo to report being attractive in their sexual relationship from time to time, but “stated that she did not want defendant Diplo to engage in sexual activities without her express consent.” recording her involvement, nor did she want him to do so.” Distribute images and/or videos to third parties and have never given them consent to do so.

On the other hand, in November 2023, the girl claimed that she was contacted by a third party, who said that he had received content that showed her and the musician having sex.

Then their communication, the anonymous person who contacted Doe, allegedly filed a police document. Doe claimed that “the NYPD issued a warrant for his arrest for the dissemination of intimate images and/or videos depicting defendant Diplo.”

Doe is seeking damages up to $150,000.

Representatives for Diplo did not immediately respond to Web Page Six’s request for comment.

On the other hand, his attorney Brian Friedman dismissed the lawsuit in a comment to Page Six.

“In each case where improper conduct has been alleged against Wes, the result has been either an immediate dismissal of the fraudulent lawsuit with an apology, a court-ordered award of more than $1.2 million for Wes, or a slow pace. The end of an apparent shakedown effort that went absolutely nowhere,” the hit Hollywood lawyer argued.

“Time and again, Wes has been targeted by a group of untrustworthy individuals and their dishonest attorneys who lie in search of a undeserved payday.”

“This suit seems to be exactly the same, which is why we have no reason to believe it will end up any different than all the others.”

In contrast, Doe’s attorney Micah Sovereignty of Sovereignty Regulation advised Page Six, “Diplo’s actions represent a serious abuse of power and a blatant disregard for human dignity. It is imperative that we, as a society, condemn such actions and hold perpetrators accountable.”

“Our brave client’s story is one of Diplo’s many worst-kept secrets, and filing this case is his first step in paving the way for civil justice,” said Doe’s other attorney, Margaret E. Mabee of Marsh Regulation. .

This is not the first time Diplo has been accused of recording and distributing a sexually specific video without the other party’s knowledge or permission. Another unnamed girl accused the “Elastic Heart” hitmaker of doing the same and knowingly infecting her with chlamydia in 2021.

He denied the allegations and claimed that the lawsuit was due to a fan stalking him. He also claimed that all sexual encounters were “consensual”.

Previously, he was accused of sexually assaulting Marchale Auguste in 2020 as well as recording their sexual encounters without her consent. She was successful in restraining him for a while.

According to Pitchfork, she is still pursuing criminal action against him for sexual harassment, gender-based violence, assault, assault, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and more.

Also in 2020, rapper Azealia Banks claimed that Diplo groomed her and had sex with her when she was 17 and he was 30.

“He has always been preying on young ethnic girls,” she criticized.
