Frontline Record: Russian infantrymen close to mutiny in Vovchansk, wounded comrades sent to front line

Latest reviews and photos have revealed that the Russian army is deploying wounded infantrymen to the front lines of the war in the Kharkiv region. Social media images showed infantrymen from the 26th Tank Regiment, based northwest of Vovchansk, being sent to the front line wounded, on crutches and despite medical treatment.

This data comes from a Russian military analyst, who said that this practice has been going on for a long time. This determined measure underlines the severe shortcomings of the Russian troops, which are famous for refusal and near-mutiny within the ranks.

A few days ago, Ukrainian Khortytsia team spokesman Nazar Voloshin reported that some Russian infantrymen in the Vovchansk tract, especially those from the 153rd Tank Regiment, were refusing to fight. It highlights the vexing morale problems and top casualty allegations plaguing the Russian military. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently said that on some forward fronts, particularly in the Kharkiv region, Russian losses outweigh Ukrainian losses by six to one.

The top Russian charge attempting to advance into northern Vovchansk is in hiding. Despite their efforts, Russian forces have struggled to conduct significant expeditions due to a lack of adequately skilled workers and the large losses they suffered.

Ukrainian forces maintain surveillance over most of the structures inside the palace, actively working to thwart Russian advances and disrupt relations between Russian forces to the west and those garrisoned at the mixing plant.

Fresh geo-located images have proven Ukrainian attempts to advance westwards, in a department between the Castle and the assembly plant. A video shows an FPV drone attack on a now-destroyed scientific center west of the mixing plant, where several Russian infantrymen were sheltering.

The drone images provide an updated view of the entire department, highlighting the castle, the combination plant and the farm adjacent to the Soborna side road, which serves as the frontline for the far side of its territory.

The latest Ukrainian reviews point to ongoing efforts to encircle Russian troops at the Vovchansk mixture plant.

A Ukrainian soldier noted that the routes to the plant are actually under surveillance by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, making it extremely risky for Russian forces to receive reinforcements or ammunition supplies.

In contrast, Russian forces have previously recaptured agricultural land occupied by Ukrainians on the Korolenka and Soborna streets. Recently, they have been attempting to capture the primary structures west of the palace. A latest geolocated video shows a Russian drone delivering scientific supplies to infantrymen of the 2nd Spetsnaz Battalion in one of the key structures inside the palace. Even though Russian military analysts claim this department remains under Russian control, the desire to use drones for scientific supply delivery means those troops will be surrounded or have severely compromised logistics access.

Facing a severe shortage of troops and suffering heavy casualties, the Russians began to establish defensive positions as a means of protection.

This defensive posture reflects their acceptance of the many challenging situations in maintaining the offensive and maintaining an eye on their position at Vovchansk.

A prominent Russian military blogger recently criticized the Russian military command for the inadequacy of travel within the Vovchansk tract. He highlighted that Russian forces are far from achieving their task of creating a 15-kilometre buffer zone and are suffering from coordination within the Vovchansk department. The blogger noted that Russian forces attacking inside Vovchansk had already suffered one-third of the casualties during their four-month campaign to capture Avdeevka. He attributed the inadequacy of travel to Russian offensive operations in Vovchansk without delay
