Samsung unveiled the real-life variants of its foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Line 6 and Z Turn 6, during its Unpacked event on Wednesday. As much as the gadgets share a lot of similar features, there are some differences between their cameras, displays and, most importantly, prices. Here’s how folding phones are rated.
This is part of the story samsung matchCNET’s selection of information, guides, and recommendations about Samsung’s most comprehensive products.
Finally, the two foldables are in different ways: the book-style Z Line 6 has a guard like a standard smartphone, revealing the interior area for an almost tablet-sized display screen of importance for productivity. And provides speed. Gaming. The clamshell Z Turn 6, on the other hand, functions like a standard smartphone when opened, but has a smaller footprint when closed, making it small enough to fit in your carryon or bag.
After all, one of the biggest differences between the two is in the length of the field. Moments off, the AMOLED guard area of the Z Line 6 is 6.3 inches with a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, the outer AMOLED guard area of the Z Line 6 is 3.4 inches with a 60Hz refresh rate. As if not hidden, the Z Line 6 has an internal width of 7.6 inches, while the Z Turn 6 has an internal width of 6.7 inches. Each internal AMOLED display has a 1-120Hz refresh rate.
Talking about the rear camera, Z Line 6 has a 50 megapixel large, 12 megapixel ultrawide and 10 megapixel 3x telephoto camera. The Z Turn 6 has a 50-megapixel large and 12-megapixel ultrawide camera. Meanwhile, the Z Line 6 sports a 4-megapixel internal under-display selfie camera and a 10-megapixel selfie camera on the guard. The Z Turn 6 has a 10-megapixel front-facing camera.
Both phones are powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. They both come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of internal locker, with the Speed Z Line 6 also coming in a 1TB option. Nor is there an expandable locker.
Both phones run Android 14 out of the box, and Samsung promises seven years of tool and security updates. The Z Line 6 has a 4,400-mAh battery, and the Z Turn 6 has a 4,000-mAh battery. Both the gadgets feature 25-watt USB-C charging in addition to the facility to recharge wirelessly. You won’t find a headphone jack on any device.
Price is also one of the most important deciding factors when choosing between the two. The Galaxy Z Line 6 starts at $1,900, while the Z Line 6 starts at $1,100. What each gadget has a habit of doing, however, is that they cost $100 more than their predecessors. These need to be preordered now in the US and will be available starting July 24th.
