The unit will raise SRP £649.99 / $699.99 / €699.99. This makes the Edge 1050 £200 more than the recently released third generation Hammerhead Karu and puts the untested 1050 at the top of the cycling computer market.
The Edge 1050 has a touchscreen display and is claimed to provide 20 hours of battery a day and 60 hours in battery saver mode. The unused Garmin 1050 is claimed to have an updated design and the unused unit now has an angular casing and more rugged all-metal buttons. It may have a replaceable quarter flip mount as well as a 3.5-inch liquid crystal display.

Garmin units are known for having strong position training options and the Edge 1050 seems to live up to that.
