IOS 18 Has Convinced Me To Upgrade, But Not The IPhone 15 Pro

I recently upgraded my iPhone 12 to the iPhone 14 Pro Max and wasn’t thinking about upgrading again. However, Apple’s WWDC display has changed my mind and now I’m thinking about upgrading. There’s a catch, though, because I’m still not into the iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max for a variety of reasons.

If you haven’t seen the nearest screen, let me tell you, Apple’s WWDC presentation showed many amazing updates coming to iOS 18, but none more important than the arrival of Apple Prudence.

However, Apple has chosen to remove one of the coolest features from most iPhone models, Fast. It appears that the reason for this is the lack of RAM in used iPhones. It may seem that Apple prudence demands a device with a minimum of 8GB of RAM, with the maximum iPhone not exceeding 6GB.

I’m tempted to upgrade my device in the future, yet for a variety of reasons the iPhone 15 Pro hasn’t been available to me, so I may have to wait a generation before trying out any of the older iOS 18 features.

What is the reason for iPhone 15 Pro order?

It must seem strange that, despite the lack of improvement, I have no real interest in the tools available at this stage. Alternatively, I have no real interest in antique telephones, for the easy explanation, it’s nothing more than money to me.

In my opinion, an antique telephone should be completely different from previous devices, both in terms of hardware or equipment. For the sake of fairness, let’s check my flow iPhone 14 Professional Max with iPhone 15 Professional Max.

At first glance the phones look almost identical, and the specifications confirm that. Basically the screen size and refresh rate look pretty much the same, and except for the higher zoom for the telephoto lens, the cameras have different sensors, and the battery times are pretty much the same too.

However, there are some differences in favorability for the iPhone 15 Pro. Basically it consists of motion buttons that you will be able to set to accomplish certain tasks. The other main addition is the pristine A17 Pro chip, which is a clear upgrade from the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s A16 Bionic chip.

When we tested both phones on Geekbench we saw a 10% increase in single-core ratings and a 9% increase in multicore ratings. Overall, the problem is that there isn’t much here that would make me pay more for a pristine iPhone 15 Pro Max.

There have been some changes between future devices, they are at least looking good. Both iPhones looking identical was already a negative point, but the general lack of any real enhancements is a total nail in the coffin.

I might be tempted by the iPhone 16 Pro Max

A few months ago I wrote an article about how bored I was with the iPhone 16 Pro Max due to the limited display and the hardware changes being fairly minor. Alternatively, I also mentioned that the inclusion of AI could change my views. The interesting thing is that this seems to be what happened.

I wasn’t really expecting the advent of Apple Prudence to make me swoon over the iPhone 16 Pro Max, although there are plenty of untested alternatives. Basically, the advent of text rewriting and my haphazard typing in the future is what has led to its huge sales.

Being dyspraxic I regularly misspell phrases and WhatsApp messages. This can also be embarrassing, especially when messaging someone for work, although Apple’s discretion may help solve this problem.

Optional features like advanced image editing would improve the rumored camera upgrade coming to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which was sorely lacking in the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Also there’s the arrival of Symbol Future and especially Zenmoji, which does some fun uploads and might tempt me back into blind SMS and RCS messaging.

However what does this have to do with choosing between the iPhone 16 Pro Max over the iPhone 15 Pro Max – after all, both phones are getting the same features? It is the object that is being upgraded and is surplus to value because of the way it provides a perceived value.

For example, the extra between the A16 and A17 Pro chips was minimal, but the extra between the A16 and the anticipated A18 Pro chip in the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be greater. Thus, paying for improvements seems like better value for money.

When I upgrade a phone I expect obvious additions to my flow style, which is what happened when I made the change from the iPhone 12. I believe that the changes to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, even with the improvements of iOS 18, will still feel really minimalist and reduce a bad style in my mouth.

Choosing when to repair your equipment can also be difficult, especially considering how indistinguishable all antique telephones appear to be. If you stock up on the three iPhones that come for each option, it will definitely be hard for you to spot the other ones at a glance. Obesity is currently in vogue, and iOS 18 looks set to lead to a significant increase.

Alternatively, my point about the lack of changes to iPhones still stands and Apple’s iOS 18 isn’t enough to keep me from skipping the future. Alternatively, it has convinced me not to hold on to my Flow telephone for as long as possible, and that was probably Apple’s intention as well.

Saying all this, it’s still early days for the iPhone 16 Professional Max, so most of what we hear is rumors. So, I might reserve my optic on our iPhone 16 Pro hub to keep an eye on the full actual data to make sure I still feel tempted when it finally releases.
