Sean “Diddy” Combs has returned his keys to the city of Untouched York at the request of Untouched York Town Mayor Eric Adams, three weeks after the music mogul was seen in a leaked 2016 video banging his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura .
On June 4, Adams sent a letter to Combs, 54, informing him that the key had been revoked and asking him to return it promptly. Copies of the letter have been sent to the Untouched York and Los Angeles workplaces of the rapper’s corporate Combs Enterprises LLC.
Fabian Levy, deputy mayor for communications, confirmed to Fox News Virtual on Saturday that the key items were returned to city ownership on June 10.
“Like many people, I was deeply disturbed by the recent footage of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs attacking his then-partner,” Adams wrote in the letter obtained via Fox Information Virtual.

He said, “I strongly condemn these actions and stand in solidarity with all survivors of domestic and gender-based violence. Our city has worked tirelessly to ensure that survivors are heard by our administration.” And let’s see.”

Adams said, “The keys to the City of New York are awarded to individuals whose service to the public and the common good reaches the highest levels of achievement, and who serve as fellows and models for future New Yorkers. ”
“After internal deliberations, the Key Committee of the City of New York recommended revoking and revoking Mr. Combs’s key.”
The mayor concluded, “I have accepted their recommendation and am requesting that Mr. Combs immediately return his keys to the city.” “City records will be updated to reflect our decision.”

Representatives for Combs did not immediately respond to Fox Information Virtual’s request for comment.

In a 2016 surveillance video, which was obtained only through CNN and declassified on May 17, Combs was seen wearing only socks and a towel around his waist as he walked down a Los Angeles hotel hallway. Ventura was brutally beaten.
The video confirmed a portion of Ventura’s November lawsuit against the leisure giant. On November 16, Ventura filed a lawsuit in federal court, accusing Combs of physical and sexual abuse. On the other hand, when the matter reached an out-of-court settlement after an era, he dropped the case.

Mystery is no longer the only accolade that this giant has lost after this surprising video surfaced.
In a final motion, Howard College announced on June 7 that it had rescinded the honorary degree awarded to Combs after a unanimous vote through its board of trustees.
A comment posted online on the college’s website said, “Mr. Combs’s behavior, captured in the recently released video, is so inconsistent with the core values and beliefs of Howard University that he should now be recommended for the institution’s highest honor. Not considered worthy.”

“The Howard University Board of Trustees voted unanimously today to accept the return of Mr. Sean Combs to the honorary degree awarded to him in 2014,” it sustained. “This acceptance revokes all honors and privileges associated with the degree. Accordingly, the Board has directed that his name be removed from all documents listing Howard University honorary degree recipients.”

“The University remains steadfast in its opposition to all acts of interpersonal violence,” the comment said.
Additionally, the college returned a $1 million donation from Combs, ended the scholarship program in his title and ended a $1 million guarantee pledge made with Sean Combs Bedrock in 2023.
Combs apologized in an Instagram video, calling his habits “inexcusable.” On the other hand, he never discussed Ventura by title.

He said, “It’s very difficult to reflect on the worst time of your life, but sometimes you have to do it. I was in a very bad situation – I hit rock bottom – but I make no excuses.” mentioned, “My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video.”
