In an interview with The Distant, Grimes explained in detail Costner’s decision to let the screen fall and the impact it had before the final episode of the series.
“Whatever happened there is unfortunate if it changes anything about the performance of the show,” Grimes said, referencing the hypothesis of a feud between Costner and manufacturing. “I know, (Costner) got busy with his movies that were like passion projects. At a certain point, you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do, man; you’ve got to do what you love.”

Season 5 will be the longest season, but in general it will consist of 14 episodes. The usual six episodes of Season 5 are scheduled to air on November 10.
